What is SMP?

Everything you need to know about scalp micropigmentation If you've googled "baldness solution", "hair thinning", "baldness treatment", "hair not growing", "hair transplant alternative" or "scar concealment", then you've come to the right place. SMP, or scalp micropigmentation, is one of the most effective, natural and permanent solutions for these problems. But what exactly is SMP? How does it work? Why is it so praised around the world? And why is it increasingly popular in Estonia? In this blog post, I'll explain everything simply and clearly. What is SMP? A clear and simple explanation SMP (scalp micropigmentation), in Estonian, scalp micropigmentation or trichhopigmentation, is a special procedure that creates microdots on the scalp that mimic natural hair follicles. It is not a hair transplant. It is not a color or shade that is later washed off. SMP is a professional micropigmentation technique, the result of which imitates real hair, creating the illusion that the hair is dense, even and well-groomed. What does SMP help with? SMP is the ideal solution for both men and women who are looking for a permanent, natural and easy-to-maintain solution. It is very suitable for: ✔ Baldness (alopecia) If there is no more hair on the top of the head or large bald areas have developed, SMP can create a natural “shaved head” effect that looks like real hair follicles. ✔ To hide hair thinning Pigment placed under thinning hair creates a visually much denser hair image. This option is also often used by women. ✔ To correct the hairline, SMP can create a completely new hairline that suits the face shape or restore the natural contour. ✔ To hide hair transplant scars, FUE and FUT scars visually disappear with SMP and become unnoticeable. ✔ To correct failed hair transplants If the transplant did not give the desired result, SMP can align and improve the situation. ✔ For beard filling Micropigmentation is also great for beards, helping to fill in holes, thicken the beard, and create a naturally even result. Is SMP painful? Scalp micropigmentation is not a painful procedure. Most clients describe the pricks as minimal and tolerable — there are clients who are bothered by the pain and there are those who fall asleep during the procedure. How long does SMP last? Scalp micropigmentation lasts 3–6 years, depending on skin care, sun exposure, and skin type. This does not mean that there is nothing left after 3-6 years, but that the result needs to be refreshed after some time. Refreshing is usually 1/3 of the work of the original. In conclusion: SMP may be just what you are looking for If you search on Google: "how to hide baldness", "hair thinning solution", "hairline restoration", "scar concealment", "hair transplant alternative", then there is a very good chance that SMP, or scalp micropigmentation, is the most suitable solution for you. The first specialized SMP maker in Estonia

The first specialized SMP practitioner in Estonia – my journey When I started my studies in Italy, at the Tricomedica Abbagnato Academy in 2023, I had no idea that I would become the first specialized SMP (scalp micropigmentation) practitioner in Estonia. I studied directly under those who are known as pioneers in the SMP world – brothers Chris and Tony Abbagnato. Tricomedica Abbagnato, in Italy. It was they who gave me in-depth knowledge of trichopigmentation techniques, details and work ethics, which are crucial in this field. The beginning under the name KrSmp Initially, I operated under the name KrSmp, but I quickly realized that it was difficult for people to pronounce and remember. Thus, the more logical and simpler Kris SMP was born, which to this day speaks better and accurately reflects my work – personal, high-quality and professional scalp micropigmentation. Further training in the UK – the next step in self-confidence In 2018, I flew to the UK to improve my skills with one of the most renowned European companies today, KRT SMP, whose quality of work had long been an example to me. When I returned from there, I felt that my self-confidence had grown even more – I was ready to offer an even more precise, even more natural and even higher quality SMP service here in Estonia, where many people have still not heard of the service. At the same time, the idea of something bigger began to ripen in my head… Scalp Estonia – a name that encompasses the whole. That is how Scalp Estonia was born – a name that is more convenient and broader for the user, fitting into both the service and the product universe. I also created an online store, the original goal of which was to offer SMP clients important care products:• scalp care products• head shavers• products to support hair and scalp health I wanted bald men and clients with thinning hair to find everything they needed in one place – so that after SMP, care would be easy, convenient and would support pigment persistence. Over the years, the selection has grown and various products have been added, but the focus has remained the same: scalp, face and hair care. Over 50 people helped – baldness, thinning hair, transplant scars I have already helped over 50 people in Estonia with my work, whose concerns include: – thinning hair – baldness – failed hair transplants – hair transplant scars – uneven hairline A very large part of my work is actually education – people still don’t know what SMP, or scalp micropigmentation, is, how it works and who it is suitable for. In other parts of the world, scalp micropigmentation is already a very common and valued alternative to hair transplants, wigs or concealing baldness in various ways. Is SMP also suitable for beards? Yes! I am often asked if micropigmentation is also suitable for thickening beards or filling holes. The answer is yes. The same technique that I use on the scalp is also perfect for visually thickening the beard area and creating natural density. Why choose SMP? SMP is not just a cosmetic procedure – it is a confidence booster. It is suitable for:✔ men and women✔ in the early stages of baldness✔ in cases of complete baldness✔ to cover scars✔ to naturally correct the hairline✔ to fill in the beard Today I know for sure that this journey to Italy and later to the UK was the best decision. I am grateful for every person who has trusted me to change the way they look and feel. SMP is just gaining momentum in Estonia – and I am honored to be its pioneer.
