SMP hiruzensiirron ächtlen - tilsä tiheyttä ja häivytä arpia

After SMP hair transplant, it can be a good option when the end result of hair transplant has improved, but the hair follicle is still visible outside the hair or the scar is visible in the donor area. Hiustensiirto and Scalp Micropigmentation or SMP are two completely different methods. In a hair transplant, the hair follicle is transplanted to a new area, while in SMP, small pigment dots are made in the hair follicle. SMP does not increase the amount of real hair. The method can complement each other very well. With SMP, it is possible to reduce the contrast between the hair base and the outside of the hair, which makes the hair look visually dense. Pigmentation can also be used to fade scars left over from FUE and FUT hair transplants. In this article, we will go through the situations in which SMP can be used after hair removal and what you can realistically expect from treatment. Why is it possible to use more tiheyttä after hiruzensiirron? Hiustensiirto can restore normal growing hair to the areas from which they came. However, the density of the final result depends on several factors. The number of hair follicles that can be transplanted is not infinite. Only a certain amount of hair can be taken from the donor area without compromising the appearance of the area. In addition, the thickness of the hair, the color, the direction of growth, the contrast between the hair and the skin, as well as the size of the treated area affect how tight the final result will look. If the areas to be maintained are large, the available transfer road has to be divided into larger areas. In this case, the end result may be successful, but the hair shaft can still be seen outside the hair, especially in bright lighting. Þóm omien, sättämäkisien hiruçen zlatu voi sõhtha hiruçensiirron ächtlen. This can reduce the visual density of the area again over time. In these situations, SMP can be used to complete the final result of the operation. SMP to increase the visual density of the hair, when the hair is removed, the hair may appear thinner than it actually is. It is especially noticeable when the color difference between the hair and the face is large. SMP: pigment dots can be added to existing and transplanted hair. The purpose is to reduce the visible hairline contrast and create a denser overall look. In this application, SMP does not replace the hair, and the individual pigment point is not intended to be seen as a new hair. Silence arises from the whole: when the light hair base is less strongly visible on the outside of the hair, the hair can look visually dense. The technique is best suited to situations where the region still has enough of its own transplanted hair to support the whole. Voiko SMP helps if the hiruzensiirron density did not meet expectations? All hair movements do not lead to the same visual density. This also does not automatically mean that the hair transplant has failed. If the area to be treated is limited in the capacity of large donor areas, it may not be possible to achieve complete natural hair density with only transplants. In some cases, new hair removal may be an option. In other situations, SMP can improve the visual density of the existing result without transplanting new hair follicles. The best solution depends on whether the client wants to correct growing hair or primarily reduce the visibility of the hair. It is also possible to combine methods. In FUE hair transplantation, individual groups of hair follicles are removed from the donor area with small instruments in the SMP FUE hair transplant. Although the method does not leave the same long linear scar as FUT, it will leave small scars at each point. As an improvement, the FUE bill can be seen as small white dots, especially when the hair is cut very short. If many grafts have been taken from the donor area, the contrast between the ihon and the hair is large, the piste scarpien mama area may be clearly noticeable. With SMP, small pigment dots can be added to the eyelid area and around them. The goal is to reduce the external contrast between the eyelids and surrounding hair follicles. SMP does not remove the FUE scar and does not change the scar tissue structure. The bill is still there, but the area around it can be made less visible. What about FUT hair transplant? A skin strip is removed from the donor area of the FUT hair transplant, which typically leaves a linear scar on the nape of the neck. With long hair, the scar may remain completely pale, but with very short cut hair, the light scar may stand out from the surrounding area. Also, in some cases, FUT scars can be erased with SMP. The goal of pigmentation is to reduce the appearance of the skin and the surrounding skin to eliminate the difference in tone - not to remove the scar itself. Epidermis can receive and store pigment in a different way than normal skin. Therefore, acne pigmentation requires an individual evaluation and a careful, step-by-step approach. Hiustensiirto or SMP - which should you choose? Hiustensiirtoa and SMP should not be thought of as completely separate treatments, because their operating principle is different. Hiustensiirto moves the correct hair follicle and can return the growing hair to the area. SMP does not grow new hairs, but changes the visual appearance of the hair base with the help of pigmenting. If the goal is to get more straight and growable hair, hiruzensiirto can be an option. If the hair is already there, but the hair roots appear to be disturbing the account of the external or donor area, SMP can offer a different solution. In some cases, the best visual result can be achieved by combining the strengths of both methods. SMP can be used not only to supplement hair loss, but also in other hair loss situations. Read more: What does SMP help with? Does Voiko SMP reduce the need for new hair removal? In some situations, yes, but this depends entirely on the client's goal and starting situation. If there are enough hairs in the area after the first hair transplant, but the hair pohjan visibility rarely shows the end result, SMP can improve the visual density without a new transplant. If, instead, the goal is to get more real hyuksia or to grow hyuksia longer in an area where there are not enough of them, SMP does not replace hiruiksiirtoa. Therefore, the decision about a new hair transplant or SMP treatment should be made based on what you really want in terms of the end result. When SMP can be done after hiruzensiirron? The SMP care room should not be built in the area, which is still recovering from the hair loss. Before pigmentation, the skin and scar should be properly healed. The appropriate time depends on the procedure performed, the improvement and the area to be treated. If the hiruzensiirto has been performed recently, the timing of the SMP should also be discussed with the clinic or doctor who performed the hiruzensiirto. The initial condition of Scalp Estonia can be assessed based on the images before planning the SMP treatment. SMP hiručen slátöön - what does SMP-hoito help with?

SMP hiručen slátöön - what does SMP-hoito help with? SMP hiruzenslätöön can be a solution in many different situations. Scalp Micropigmentation, or scalp micropigmentation, is known especially for the creation of shaved hair, but SMP treatment can also be used to eliminate thinning hair, visible hair loss, alopecia, and other scalp scars. SMP does not grow new hair and does not stop hair loss. The aim of the treatment is to change the appearance of the hair base with the help of pigmentation. The final result and the technique used always depend on the customer's starting situation, hair volume, skin and goals. In this article, we'll go through the most common situations where SMP can help. SMP vetöytyvään hiusrajan and miesten hiusrajnäläön Miesten hiusrajan vetäymistaön Miesten hiusrajan vetäytymista, ohimoilta tai päälaen ravenemiste. When the hair is kept short and shaved, SMP can visually create new hair paths and mimic the follicles of short-shaven hair. Hairline design is an important part of the natural end result. The shape, height and density are designed based on the proportions of the face, remaining hair, age and the customer's wishes. The goal is not to make the hairline as dull or as sharp as possible, but a whole new one that looks natural even when viewed up close. SMP for thinning scalp Hair loss does not always begin to regrow hair. The first clearly visible alue of Monilla miehlä is the crown-alue. Hiusten thins the light hair pohja alkaa tysutä hiruzen välistä. This increases the contrast between the skin and the hair and makes the hair look less real. With SMP, this contrast can be reduced by adding pigment dots to the treated area. The maintenance plan depends on how much hair is left in the area and how long the hair is kept. If hair loss occurs later, the SMP treatment room can be extended to new areas if necessary. SMP höheneviin hiuxin ilman päen ajästät SMP hiruzenpääöön does not always mean that the hair should be shaved completely by a boy. If there are enough own hairs in the treated area, pigmentation can be done outside them. The purpose is to reduce the visible hair base and outer contrast of the hair, which can make the hair appear visually dense. However, this technique does not automatically apply to all thinning talents. The final result is influenced, among other things, by the amount of remaining hair, the color and length of the hair, the tone of the skin, and the extent of the thinning area. Therefore, suitability is always assessed individually. SMP for women - thinning hair and visible hair follicles SMP treatment can also be used to eliminate the visual appearance of thinning hair in women. For women, the goal is usually not to imitate a shaved head, but to reduce the contrast of the hairline visible from the outside of the hair. This can be used, for example, in the jakaus area of Thailand's päälaella, where the area still has enough of its own hair. Pitkien hiruzen kasnas työskentely eroaa ajellun päen SMP treatment because pigmentation is done outside the existing hair. It is important to understand that SMP does not increase the actual amount of hair and does not prevent hair loss due to medical reasons. Its effect is visual. SMP alopecia SMP can also be used to fade some alopecia aiehutamien trúvien alejten. For example, alopecia areatan aiheumtilla kaljuilla kaljuilla arlejde pigmentoinnilla can be imitated by the surrounding hair. In laajemissa hiruzentälästilätää hoitosupnejla can be made for the larger part of the hair pohjaa. Alopecia patients are always evaluated individually, as hair loss can change and bald areas can expand over time. SMP hiruzensiirtoarpiin – FUE and FUT Hiustensiirtron achterten donor-alueelle voi jäytä viä scarpia. FUE hair transplants can leave large numbers of small, discolored stitches. The FUT method, on the other hand, can leave a longer linear scar. With SMP, the scar and its surrounding area can be pigmented so that the tone difference between the scar and other hair follicles decreases. SMP does not remove scar tissue or change the structure of scar tissue. The goal is to make the bill less visible and help it blend in better with the surrounding area. Scar tissue can receive pigment in a different way than normal skin, which is why treatment is always planned on a case-by-case basis. SMP can be used in hiruzensiirron ääätan also when the goal is to increase visual density siirrettyjen hiruzen väilin. Read more about combining SMP with hiruzensiirtoon and erasing FUE and FUT procedures. SMP hiruzensiirron ächtlen → SMP muieu päänahan arpiin Also muita päänahan arpiin can be eliminated in some cases with the help of SMP. Eligibility is affected by the number, structure, age, location and amount of hair. Especially in the middle of darker hair, light hair can stand out strongly, so the contrast of the pigment can be reduced. The suitability of the bill for SMP treatment should be assessed based on the images before booking the treatment. Who is SMP suitable for? The suitability of SMP is not determined solely by the type of hair. For example, the amount of remaining hair, the length and color of the hair, the tone and type of the skin, the extent of the treatment area and the client's goal affect the treatment plan. For this reason, the same pigment color, hairstyle, and treatment plan cannot be copied from one Asian to another. The first estimate can be made based on the pictures. From the image, the starting situation, the size of the protected area and the type of SMP plan that fits the situation can be assessed. SMP in Finland has become more and more popular in recent years as an alternative to hair removal, thinning hair and hair removal. Scalp Micropigmentation, or SMP, can also be used to treat alopecia and hair loss and other scalp scars. One of the most important things to find in the SMP care room is the end result. Because the pigmentation remains the same, you should carefully familiarize yourself with the selection of the product, before and after the pattern, as well as the treatment. Scalp Estonian studio in Tallinn has been visited by Suomalaisian clients who traveled to Viroon specifically for the SMP treatment room. The goal of the final result is not to look like pigmented hair, but to imitate as naturally as possible short-cut hair without follicles or to create a denser, denser under the existing hair. That's why it's worth looking at the location of the SMP-artistia valitessa muatakin kuin hintaa tai studion. Pay attention to, for example, the naturalness of the hairline, the cocoon and evenness of the pigment spots, the blending of the pigmentation with your hair, and how the improved results look when viewed up close. Style also matters. Some want a clearer and darker hairline, while others are looking for the softest and most inconspicuous end result. The goal of Scalp Estonia is to build SMP gradually during the hoitokerran period. The first treatment layer is not made as dark as possible, but the density and tone are increased with the subsequent layers of the mold. Also toinen suomalainen asiyakkaamme hakeutui Scalp Estonialle nähtyään aikaisempia SMP results. His real goal was to build a natural entity that works both up close and at normal testing distances. "The end result looks natural, and the hairline is no longer dry at all. The treatment was pain-free and the time passed quickly. Kris was very professional and took care to give detailed care instructions. The whole process went on in a relaxed atmosphere and I am really satisfied with the end result." - Joel-Kristian Lal, Google review Where can the SMP storage room be used? INK-credible professional tools for tattoo, SMP and PMU artists

The INK-credible story

From artist to artist. Every brand has a story. This is ours. INK-credible didn't start with a business plan or the idea of creating another product. It started with a problem we experienced ourselves. When I started my journey as a Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) artist, I knew the profession demanded patience, precision and long hours of focused work. What I didn't expect was how physically demanding it would become—especially for my eyes. I've had weak eyesight for most of my life. After wearing glasses for years, I eventually underwent laser eye surgery and finally enjoyed clear vision again. Everything was fine. Until I became an SMP artist. Within the first months of working, I started noticing something wasn't right. By the end of each session my eyes felt exhausted. My vision became blurred and maintaining the same level of precision became increasingly difficult as the day went on. For the first time, I genuinely questioned whether my eyes would allow me to build a long-term career doing what I loved. I booked another eye examination and was prescribed glasses specifically for work. That's when we realized something else needed to change. Our lighting. Years of Searching Together with my partner, Triin Ley, founder of MyBrows Studio, we started looking for a better lighting solution. At the time, we had absolutely no plans to build a brand. We simply wanted to make our daily work more comfortable. Over the following years, we tested countless headlamps from different manufacturers. Some were too heavy. Some had poor weight distribution. Others created harsh hotspots and uneven lighting that made detailed work even more difficult. Many looked promising on paper but simply weren't comfortable enough for long SMP, PMU or Tattoo sessions. Every new headlamp taught us something about what really matters when you spend hours working with millimeter precision. Eventually, after years of searching and testing, we found the one that met every requirement we had been looking for. Comfort. Balanced weight distribution. A wide and even beam of light. An adjustable angle. Powerful lighting that helped reduce eye fatigue and made long working days significantly more comfortable. From that moment on, working without a headlamp was no longer something we could imagine. For years, it remained our personal setup. It wasn't a product. It wasn't a business. It was simply the tool we trusted every single day. A Discovery Worth Sharing As time went on, we noticed something interesting. Many SMP, PMU and Tattoo artists were still searching for the right headlamp. Some were using models we had already tested ourselves. Others weren't using a headlamp at all. I started asking around and giving our headlamp out for testing. The feedback was remarkably consistent. "This is the best headlamp I've ever used." We kept hearing the same thing from artist after artist. That's when we realized something. The problem wasn't that good headlamps didn't exist. The problem was that artists had no easy way of knowing which one was actually worth buying. Most professionals were doing exactly what we had done years earlier—buying different models, testing them during client work and hoping to eventually find the right one. We wanted to make that journey easier. The Birth of INK-credible That idea became INK-credible. We didn't invent a new headlamp. We created a brand. A brand built around carefully selected professional tools that have already proven themselves through years of real studio work. Our goal isn't to manufacture everything ourselves. Our goal is to discover exceptional products, test them in real working environments and introduce them to professional artists under one trusted brand. The first product to carry the INK-credible name became The INK-credible Headlamp. Not because it was a new invention. But because after years of searching, testing and daily professional use, it was the headlamp we genuinely believed in. Instead of letting every new artist repeat the same expensive and time-consuming search, we wanted to offer a solution that had already earned its place in our own studios. Built by Professionals INK-credible represents both of us. I'm Kris Pulver, founder of Kris SMP and Scalp Estonia. Alongside me is Triin Ley, founder of MyBrows Studio, whose years of experience in the PMU industry have been an essential part of shaping the standards behind the INK-credible brand. Together, we continue testing products in our own studios before introducing them under the INK-credible name. If a product doesn't earn a permanent place in our daily work, it doesn't earn the INK-credible name. Looking Forward Today, artists from different countries use The INK-credible Headlamp in their daily work. Our PRO TEAM continues to grow, bringing together professionals from the Tattoo, PMU and SMP industries who share the same expectations. Comfort. Precision. Reliability. Tools that work as hard as they do. This is only the beginning. Our vision is to continue building INK-credible into a trusted professional brand by carefully selecting products that genuinely improve the way artists work—not by offering more products, but by offering the right ones. From Artist to Artist We make effort searching for the right tools, so you don't have to. Every INK-credible product is selected with one simple question in mind: Would we happily use it ourselves, every single day? If the answer isn't yes, it doesn't become part of the INK-credible brand. Experience the Difference What started as a personal search for better lighting has grown into a brand trusted by professional artists around the world. Failed SMP – can it be fixed?

The Internet is full of pictures of failed SMP results. Too dark spots, an unnatural hairline, „ink pools“ on the scalp – these are problems that are encountered more and more often. The reason is simple: SMP seems simple on the surface, but in fact it is a technically very demanding procedure that requires experience, aesthetic sense and deep knowledge of the skin and pigments. More and more clients also come to the Scalp Estonia studio with the question: 👉 “Can failed SMP be repaired?” The short answer: yes, but not always easily – and sometimes you have to start with removal. Why do failed SMP results occur? 1. Insufficient training and experience In recent years, the popularity of SMP has grown rapidly. Along with this, there have also been practitioners on the market who: have only undergone short training do not understand the depths of the skin or the behavior of pigments underestimate the complexity of the procedure. You often think: “How difficult is this dotting?” In reality, every dot is: of the right depth with the right tone with the right size and dispersion A small mistake = a very visible problem. 2. Wrong pigment and too deep work One of the classic signs of a bad SMP: too bluish or black tone large, scattered spots „marker-drawn“ effect This happens when: the pigment is applied too deeply the wrong composition of colors is used the skin type is not taken into account 3. Unnatural hairline One of the biggest mistakes beginners make is: too straight or „artificial“ hairline too low hairline too strong contrast The result does not look natural even from a distance. 4. Processed and misleading images On social media: filters are used the contrast is adjusted problem areas are hidden This creates a false expectation. In reality, the result may be something else entirely. 👉 Therefore, it is crucial to make sure that: the images are natural different lighting conditions are shown there are improved results, not just fresh work Can failed SMP be fixed? It depends on the specific situation. In general, there are three main scenarios: 🔹 1. Milder cases – can be retouched If: the pigment is already a little worn out the tone is not too dark the spots are not too big 👉 then it is often possible to: do a correct SMP on top to even out the result create a more natural density 🔹 2. Medium cases – partial removal + new work If: the tone is too dark the contrast is too strong the result is uneven 👉 I often recommend starting with: laser removal to reduce the darkness then do a new, correct SMP This gives a much better end result than just „fixing on top“. 🔹 3. Severe cases – removal before anything else If there are: large dark spots wrongly shaped hairline deeply made pigment 👉 then a realistic approach is: removal (in several stages) skin regeneration new SMP from scratch Why do I often recommend starting with removal? Many clients want immediate correction, but the reality is: 👉 You can't always build a good result on a bad job. Laser removal helps: lighten the pigment reduce the contrast give a "cleaner canvas" for new work And even if the pigment is not completely removed, it is often enough for the result to be done over naturally. How to avoid the same mistake again? ✔️ Do thorough preliminary work, study the artist's work, see improved results, look for honest reviews ✔️ Avoid "too good to be true" offers Cheap price = often expensive correction later. ✔️ Come for a consultation In the consultation: your situation will be assessed, a realistic result will be explained, all questions will be answered Important knowledge: how SMP actually behaves over time Correctly done SMP: wears evenly over time, does not turn blue or spread, remains natural The result also depends on: care, skin type, sun and lifestyle. Is cheaper SMP actually more expensive? Very often yes. 👉 If you do it at the beginning: cheap and poor-quality work followed by removal and then new work … then you end up paying more than you would have paid for quality right away. Summary: what to do if SMP went wrong? If you have a failed SMP, then: don't panic - there are solutions don't rush into new work without an assessment let a specialist assess the situation 👉 With me at Scalp Estonia you will get: an honest assessment a clear plan (whether to remove, repair or redo) recommendations for achieving the best result Every case is different - and that's why I will be happy to give you personal advice on how to best solve your situation. Failed hair transplant? SMP's solution for scars and thinning hair

Failed hair transplant? How SMP (Scalp Micropigmentation) can save the day Hair transplants seem like the ultimate solution to hair loss for many. Advertisements promise a natural result, a restored hairline and a boost in self-confidence. But reality is not always so ideal. Many people face problems after a transplant that are not often discussed before the procedure. In this article, we will look at the main reasons why hair transplants may not give the desired result - and how SMP, or scalp micropigmentation, can help improve the situation. Why hair transplants may not give the desired result? 1. Insufficient density - the most common problem One of the biggest sources of disappointment is that the transplanted hair does not create a dense enough result. Although thousands of hairs are transplanted during the procedure, the reality is that: there is a limited number of graft units in the donor area (usually the nape of the neck) not all hairs can be safely transplanted hair loss may continue after the transplant The result is often: a sparse appearance scalp visible in bright light a „see-through“ effect between the hairs, which betrays that there is not enough density 2. Multiple transplants – an endless process Many patients do not consider that one transplant may not be enough. Often: 2–3 or even more procedures are performed, each time trying to add density but the resource in the donor area is reduced This creates a situation where: the results do not improve significantly the costs increase the healing periods are repeated And eventually, a point is reached where the ideal result is not achieved. 3. Overharvesting – damaging the donor area One of the most critical, but less talked about problems is overharvesting, or overusing the donor area. If too many grafts are taken from the donor area: the hair in the nape area becomes sparse, visible „patches“ appear, the haircut becomes more limited (cannot be cut shorter) This can make the whole look unnatural – even if the transplanted area itself is satisfactory. 4. Scars (from FUT and FUE techniques) Hair transplantation always involves some degree of scarring: FUT (strip method): a linear scar in the nape of the neck may remain visible, especially with short hairstyles FUE method: small punctate scars may become visible if the donor area is sparse Many people do not consider that: scars may be permanent they may affect hairstyle choices they become more visible with age 5. Hair loss continues Hair transplantation does not stop natural hair thinning. This means: existing hair may continue to fall out an uneven pattern (transplanted vs. natural hair) the result may deteriorate over time How does SMP help to correct a failed transplant? This is where SMP (Scalp Micropigmentation) comes into play – a visual solution that does not depend on the presence of hair, but creates an optical illusion. 1. Creating a denser impression with SMP: micropigmentation dots are added to the scalp, they imitate hair follicles, they reduce the contrast between the skin and the hair. Result: the hair appears visually denser, the thinning is no longer noticeable, the overall result becomes „fuller“. 2. Donor area smoothing An overharvested donor area can be visually „filled“ with SMP, hiding thinning areas, restoring a more even appearance. This allows you to: wear a shorter hairstyle, reduce the contrast between scars and hair. 3. Scar concealment SMP is one of the most effective solutions for concealing scars: FUT linear scars can be visually „covered“, FUE punctate scars become less noticeable, the result is a more even and natural look. 4. Hairline correction If the transplanted hairline: is too sparse, irregular or unnatural, then SMP can: define the hairline, add visual density, make the entire framework more aesthetic. 5. Long-term and stable solution Unlike hair transplantation: SMP does not depend on hair growth, the result does not change with the growth of the hair. hair loss care is minimal What people often don't know before a transplant? Before a hair transplant, people often focus only on the promises of the final result. But in reality, you should consider: the donor area is a limited resource 100% density cannot be restored hair loss continues scars are inevitable multiple procedures may be necessary It is precisely because of these factors that many people later look for additional solutions. Summary: SMP as a smart addition or lifeline If a hair transplant has not given the desired result, this does not mean that the situation is hopeless. SMP can: create visual density even out the transplant result hide scars improve overall aesthetics Often, it is SMP that provides that "final touch" that makes the result really good. If you are considering a solution to improve your hair transplant result, it is definitely worth investigating how SMP could help in your situation.

Better Be Bold – male pattern baldness, bald head care and SMP solution

Male hair loss is one of the most common, yet least talked about topics. Millions of men around the world notice at some point that their hairline is receding, their hair is thinning, they develop the legendary “M-shaped” hairline or a “horseshoe” shape at the back. Many try to hide it – with hats, hairstyles or in the hope that no one will notice. But in reality, the truth is much simpler: a bald head can look great. And many men do. Baldness is not a problem – an uneven hairline is To be honest, most people don’t consider baldness a problem. Think, for example: Jason Statham Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Vin Diesel All bald. And no one would say that it makes them any less stylish. In fact, the problem is often the transition area – the place where the hair stops growing, but there is still thinning hair or an uneven hairline. It is this “fringe” that can be visually disturbing. Better Be Bold – confidence is the new hairstyle One interesting example of this mindset is Better Be Bold – a brand dedicated to balding and self-confidence. Their message is simple: When nature decides to take your hair, make it a style. And some take it literally. Recently, a picture was shared of a man who even had the Better Be Bold logo tattooed on his scalp – a pretty bold way to celebrate his baldness. Is this for everyone? Probably not. Does it show confidence? Definitely. Bald head care is just as important as hair care Many people forget that a bald head actually needs more care than a head with hair. The scalp is: sensitive constantly exposed to the sun Therefore, it is important to: keep the scalp clean use moisturizing products protect the head from the sun keep the skin healthy Good scalp care can make a bald head look very well-groomed and stylish. Scalp Estonia is the official Better Be Bold dealer in Estonia. If the hairline bothers you – SMP is a natural solution But what if the problem is not the bald head itself, but precisely this uneven hairline? This is where Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) comes into play. SMP is a procedure where the visual effect of hair follicles is created on the scalp using micropigmentation. The result looks like a freshly shaved head. This means: uneven hairline disappears the head looks even baldness becomes a conscious style choice Many men say the same thing after SMP: “I should have done this years ago.” Baldness is nothing to hide Baldness is a natural part of life. More than half of men will experience hair thinning at some point. It’s not a question of whether you’ll lose your hair, it’s about how you deal with it. Some choose to grow your hair out as long as possible. Others choose to simply shave their heads. And some choose SMP to create a clean and confident look. Better Be Bold – and take care of your scalp If you decide to go bald, do it with style. Keep your scalp: clean moisturized protected from the sun And if an uneven hairline bothers you, know that SMP exists. Sometimes you don't need to grow your hair back. Sometimes you just need to be a little bolder. Better be bold.

SMP Aftercare - Complete Guide for Scalp Micropigmentation Artists

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) has become one of the fastest-growing solutions for hair loss worldwide. As the popularity of SMP continues to increase across Europe, including the Baltic countries and Finland, professional standards and proper aftercare are more important than ever. For scalp micropigmentation artists, the quality of the result does not depend only on technique and pigments. Proper SMP aftercare plays a crucial role in how well the pigment settles in the skin and how the final result heals. This guide explains the most important aspects of SMP aftercare for artists and clients, including preparation, healing stages, hygiene, and the role of professional aftercare products. Why SMP Aftercare Is So Important During a scalp micropigmentation procedure, pigment is implanted into the upper dermal layer of the skin using specialized needles. Although the procedure is minimally invasive, it still creates micro-trauma in the skin, which activates the body's natural healing process. Proper aftercare helps to: support natural skin healing reduce irritation and inflammation prevent infection allow pigment to stabilize evenly maintain long-lasting results Without correct aftercare, clients may experience uneven healing, pigment loss, or irritation. While every SMP artist may slightly adjust their aftercare instructions, the general philosophy remains the same: minimize additional trauma to the skin and support the natural healing process so pigment can settle properly. Preparing Clients Before an SMP Procedure Good results begin before the procedure even starts. Proper skin preparation helps ensure optimal pigment retention and smoother healing. SMP artists should advise clients to: avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before treatment stay well hydrated avoid sunburn or tanning before the session avoid harsh skincare products on the scalp keep the scalp clean and healthy Proper preparation can significantly improve healing and pigment retention. Products Used During SMP Procedures During the procedure itself, artists typically use products that help: clean the scalp reduce irritation maintain hygiene protect the skin barrier Professional-grade products designed specifically for tattoo, SMP, and PMU procedures can help maintain a clean working environment and support skin stability during the session. One professional aftercare range used by many artists is After Art, which offers products designed specifically for tattoo and pigment procedures. Scalp Estonia is the official distributor of After Art products in the Baltic region, supplying professional aftercare solutions to studios and practitioners. Immediate SMP Aftercare (First 24–48 Hours) The first two days after an SMP procedure are critical for proper healing. Most SMP artists recommend that clients: keep the scalp clean and dry avoid touching or scratching the treated area avoid excessive sweating avoid direct sun exposure avoid washing the scalp for the first 24 hours (depending on artist guidance) The main goal during this stage is to allow the skin to begin healing without unnecessary irritation. SMP Healing Stages Understanding the healing stages helps both artists and clients manage expectations. Days 1–3 The scalp may appear slightly darker as pigment settles. Mild redness or sensitivity is normal. Days 4–7 Some clients may experience light dryness or flaking. The pigment may appear lighter during this stage. Days 7–14 The skin continues to regenerate and pigment stabilizes in the dermal layer. After 2–4 weeks The skin is typically healed and ready for follow-up sessions if needed. Each client's skin type and healing speed may vary slightly. Cleaning the Scalp After SMP Proper hygiene is essential during healing. Clients should: Wash their hands before touching the scalp. Clean the scalp gently using lukewarm water. Avoid aggressive scrubbing or harsh products. Pat the scalp dry using a clean towel. The goal is to keep the scalp clean without irritating the skin. Moisturizing and Skin Protection During healing, the skin barrier needs support. Using a light, professional aftercare product can help: maintain skin hydration reduce dryness and irritation support natural healing protect the treated area Professional aftercare ranges such as After Art are designed specifically for pigment procedures including tattoo, SMP, and PMU. Scalp Estonia is the official distributor of After Art in the Baltic region, providing professional-grade aftercare products to artists and clinics. Sun Protection After SMP One of the most important aspects of SMP aftercare is UV protection. Excessive sun exposure can: fade pigment prematurely irritate healing skin affect long-term results Artists should advise clients to: avoid direct sun exposure during healing wear hats when outdoors use SPF protection once the scalp has healed Proper sun protection helps maintain crisp and natural-looking results. Common SMP Aftercare Mistakes Many issues in scalp micropigmentation occur due to poor aftercare. Common mistakes include: scratching the treated area excessive sweating during early healing sun exposure during the healing phase using unsuitable skincare products aggressive washing or exfoliation Educating clients about proper aftercare helps improve overall results and client satisfaction. Choosing Professional SMP Aftercare Products For scalp micropigmentation artists, choosing the right products can improve both the healing experience and long-term results. Professional aftercare products should: support skin healing be gentle on sensitive skin maintain hygiene standards be designed specifically for pigment procedures Professional product lines like After Art are developed for tattoo, SMP, and PMU aftercare. Scalp Estonia is the official distributor of After Art products in the Baltic region, providing high-quality aftercare solutions to studios and artists. Final Thoughts Successful scalp micropigmentation results depend not only on the skill of the artist but also on proper aftercare and skin healing. While each SMP artist may tailor their aftercare instructions slightly, the core principle remains the same: minimize additional trauma to the skin and support the natural healing process so pigment can settle evenly and produce the best possible result. By educating clients, maintaining proper hygiene, and using professional aftercare products, artists can ensure that their SMP work heals beautifully and lasts longer. Professional Aftercare for Tattoo, SMP and PMU Studios For professional artists, the quality of aftercare products can significantly impact healing results and client satisfaction. High-quality aftercare helps support skin recovery, reduce irritation and ensure that pigment heals evenly after tattoo, scalp micropigmentation (SMP) and permanent makeup (PMU) procedures. Tattoo, SMP and PMU aftercare – a complete guide to support healing

Pigmentation procedures such as tattooing, scalp micropigmentation (SMP) and permanent makeup (PMU) are very popular today. Although these procedures differ in technique and purpose, they have one important factor in common – proper aftercare. After a pigmentation procedure, the skin needs time to heal. Proper care helps prevent complications, supports the skin’s natural regeneration and ensures that the pigment adheres to the skin as evenly as possible. Although each tattoo, SMP or PMU artist may give slightly different aftercare instructions, the common goal of specialists is the same: to cause as little trauma to the skin as possible, keep the wound clean and support its natural healing so that the pigment can adhere to the skin as well as possible. Why is tattoo, SMP and PMU aftercare so important? During the pigmentation procedure, the pigment is introduced into the skin, which means that the skin undergoes a small trauma. As a result, the body’s healing process is triggered, during which the skin regenerates and the pigment stabilizes. If aftercare is not done correctly, various problems may arise: the pigment may heal unevenly the color may become dull inflammation or infection may occur crusts may come off too early the result may require more corrections Therefore, proper care is as important as the procedure itself. What to do before a tattoo, SMP or PMU procedure Good healing starts even before the procedure. If the skin is healthy and well prepared, healing is usually faster and more even. Before the procedure, it is recommended to avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before the procedure drink enough water avoid sunburn do not use aggressive skin care products keep the skin clean and moisturized It is also important to choose a professional studio and an experienced specialist. During SMP aftercare, it is important to: keep the scalp clean avoid excessive sweating avoid saunas and intense sports avoid sun exposure in the first few days use special care products As with tattoos and PMU, each specialist may give slightly different instructions, but the main goal is to support the natural healing of the skin and avoid additional trauma. PMU aftercare – eyebrow, lip and eye pigmentation Permanent makeup (PMU) includes various pigmentation procedures such as: eyebrow micropigmentation lip pigmentation eyeliner Since it is a facial area, PMU aftercare is especially important. During PMU healing, it is recommended to: keep the area clean avoid makeup in the healing area do not remove crusts use a special aftercare cream avoid the sun and solarium Proper care helps ensure that the pigment heals evenly and naturally. Tattoo, SMP and PMU cleaning During healing, the pigmentation area must be cleaned gently and regularly. Cleaning principles Wash your hands before touching the area Clean the skin with lukewarm water or a mild cleanser Dry the area gently with a clean towel Apply aftercare cream Overly aggressive cleansing can irritate the skin and slow down healing. Sun protection – very important in pigmentation care UV radiation is one of the main reasons why pigmentation can fade over time. The sun can: damage the pigment slow down healing make the colors dull Sun protection recommendations avoid direct sun during healing use SPF protection cover the area with clothing in strong sun Sun protection helps maintain the color and quality of the pigmentation. Common mistakes in tattoo, SMP and PMU aftercare Improper care can affect the final result.
